Oh, Maike, Maike, Maike… Boy, am I so glad you’re back. Maike, to me, is the quintessential trophy wife - slender, model-type, tall (but shorter than me), black-haired Eurasian, etc. Thin? Maybe, but I like thin. Think, Diana Van Walsum. But enough about my dreams, after all, they are just that.

Anyway, let me just add that when you first see Maike, you know for a fact that she’s drop-dead gorgeous; then you start to think there’s something wrong with her look. Like there’s a slight imperfection but you just can’t point it out. I haven’t really figured it out but I’ve come to accept that this slight “imperfection” makes her more perfectly human.

Lastly, I’ve always thought Maike would make a perfect Elf-goddess in say, Lord of the Rings. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pages as much as I have. Just click on the photo below.

You all remember English-guru Janina San Miguel right? Anyway, after months of scrutiny and 8-hour-days worth of English lessons, she has finally given up. Bb. Pilipinas-World - that title which earned her the spot to represent the 2008 Miss World Pageant in Johannesburg, South Africa, on December 14, now belongs to Danielle Castaño.

Funny how things turned out as 19-year-old Danielle is English-tongued, since she has only been living in the Philippines for just over a year. Janina though, blames “the recent death of her grandfather and other personal reasons” for quitting.

It’s hard to like Janina, even if she kind-of-is a looker, after all the embarrassment tied to her, but I’m not impressed by Danielle Castaño’s looks either. I don’t know, maybe it’s just a lack of good photographs - just 4 for now - none of which are “studio’d” headshots.

Of course, let’s not forget our ambassador to the Amazing Race, Tisha Silang, partnered with boyfriend Geoff Rodriguez. Let’s not forget that Tisha is, or was also a “beauty queen,” so that makes three. Remember that controversial Bb. Pilipinas-Universe in 1998 where Tisha lost her crown because of her Canadian citizenship?

Anyway, after that pageant she a had a career-of-sorts appearing in men’s magazines - FHM May 2005 cover - and some others, I think, but when I hear Tisha Silang, I think Boracay. Maybe because Boracay paparazzi sets always include her and Geoff. Smokin’ body with very, very tight abs though. I did manage to find some “old” pictures, so clickity-click below.

From The Amazing Race Asia Season 3

Whew, What a long name, and, researching for pictures is harder than I thought. I guess she’s not that well-known as her partner, Natalie. I even tried looking at some Thailand-blogs. Nada. So, anyone out there who can lead me to some good Pailin photos other than those already in AXN’s site, and these two, just comment here or upload some in the gallery.

Anyway, 25-year-old Pailin, from team-beauty queen, was the first runner-up in her country’s 2006 search for Miss Thailand Universe. This eventually led her to represent Thailand in the 2006 Miss Earth, held here in the Philippines. Basing from credentials alone, I guess we now know who to focus our attentions to.

September 26, 2008 update

Unfortunately, beauty queens, Pailin and Natalie were eliminated from the race yesterday. Their run lasted only three episodes. From their stint, it seemed like Natalie was more the high-maintenance “beauty queen” type. Pailin was actually kind of cool and “game” during the race, and was not overshadowed (as I thought would be the case) by Natalie’s Miss Universe-winning beauty.

The Amazing Race Asia Season 3 is on! Sorry, but that thrilling last season was enough to fanaticize me. Of course, as this is blog is about babes, we’ll take a couple of posts worth to get to know this season’s lookers - before they even get eliminated. Remember last year’s Paula Taylor and Vanessa Chong? Hotness.

This year, they brought it up a notch. Actually, they brought it up to probably the highest notch - an actual Miss Universe winner. Yup, Natalie Glebova, representing Thailand, was Miss Universe in 2005. She’s representing Thailand because she is now based there - which was also where the pageant was held, and, she married a native - that professional tennis player who appears in some majors. But, she represented Canada in that pageant, even though she was born slash and-is-of Russian descent.

Did I mention that Natalie is partnered with another beauty queen? Thai Pailin Rungratanasunthorn, who we’ll probably feature tomorrow. The Amazing Race Asia Season 3 (TARA 3) was actually held last July but they do keep a good job of maintaining secrecy. The season will end sometime in January next year, so let’s hope these girls had a good run. TARA 3 airs Thursdays on AXN. Click below for some “researched” photos.

Yeah, yeah! Katrina Halili has now invaded Maxim. Check out that clever piece of boobie-jewelry on the cover - I swear, not a hint of nipple-goodness there - and these scans blow-up to about 2400 pixels wide. Scans came from the same source as Iwa Moto’s.

Anyway, typical Katrina Halili I might say - near naked, but not quite. Although it feels like I’ve seen her do all these poses already - that “what’s new?” feeling. Nothing seemed to have tickled my fancy or hit some weird fetish here or there. Oh well, enjoy! Click on the photo.

So, here I am trying to blog once more - I don’t know why, but I’m beginning to find blogging exhausting. Anyway, good thing this month’s batch of men’s magazines is making so much buzz that I need not actively ransack the net to find them lovely scans.
